The Swedes Have Done It Again

The Swedes have always provided good music- The Cardigans, Peter Bjorn & John and The Sounds just to name a few. I listened to a lot of music this past year, but the Swedes dominated my playlists. There were three that stood out the most:

Lykke Li:
She just has the sweetest voice and fashion to kill. She's the protege of Peter, Bjorn & John & I love her entire album. Loads of her songs were popular amongst DJs this past year to remix. Here's my favorite remix: She recorded her own version of the Kings of Leons, "Knocked Up" and this remix by Death to the Throne always gets to me!

El Perro Del Mar:
El Perro Del Mar is a band from Gothenburg, Sweden and the front woman, Sarah Assbring voice resembles that of Lykke Li. Her song, "Change of Heart" is gaining interest in the U.S right now and this remix by Robyn (yep that Swedish singer) is probably one of my faves right now.

Miike Snow:
Music critics are calling Miike Snow the new Peter, Bjorn & John. Their album Miike Snow gained critical success amongst the music industry and their songs were also popular amongst DJs to remix. Here are two of their successful remixed singles by Mark Ronson and Tiga.

Miike Snow- "Animal (Mark Ronson rmx)

Miike Snow- "Black & Blue (Tiga rmx)
